She says it’s the name of her favorite concerto for the cello, and she’s passionate about music. She was looking for something that would capture her simpler side, and she was gracious enough to work with me on a moment’s notice.

It’s all about the eyes…

There’s just something about eyes. It doesn’t matter whose eyes: Young or old, woman or man. The eyes tell a story. Or, at least, they hint at one.

What makes a portrait special?

For me, it’s all about the eyes…

I’ve had an interest in photography since I was a kid.  In fact, it’s hard for me to remember a time when I didn’t have a camera of some sort, though some of my earliest were no more than pinhole cameras made out of Kodak™ film boxes.

But it wasn’t until I hit high school that I really began to develop a passion for photographing people.  I began to understand that photographing people was about capturing moments in time, that the photographs that I took were a record of that specific moment – an instant that would and could never happen again.
